3. What We Collect

We collect minimal data to provide analytics:

  • Page URLs and referrer information
  • Browser user-agent string
  • No persistent visitor or session ID before analytics consent
  • After consent, random visitor and session IDs stored in first-party cookies
  • UTM parameters from URL query strings
  • Custom events you choose to send via our API

4. What We Do NOT Collect

  • No analytics cookies or localStorage before consent
  • No fingerprinting — we do not collect screen resolution, installed fonts, or device sensors
  • Before consent, identify values are one-way hashed in the browser and raw names or emails are not transmitted
  • No request IP address is stored for cookieless events

5. Legal Basis (GDPR)

The default tracker mode uses no browser storage or persistent identifier. Where a customer enables full analytics, TrailPixel creates first-party analytics cookies only after that customer communicates consent. Customers are responsible for selecting and documenting the applicable legal basis and for configuring their consent manager and privacy notice appropriately.

6. Data Storage & Retention

Data is stored on secure servers within the EU. We retain analytics data for up to 24 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing

8. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for database hosting (EU region) and Vercel for hosting the application. Both are GDPR-compliant. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
